  • Counterparty. The party on the other side of a trade.
  • Deploy anywhere routing engine (DARE). Marketcetera's core routing server. DARE provides bi-directional message handling, receiving orders from multiple strategies and routing them to broker and execution destinations.
  • Execution Container. A process that runs and maintains communication with other nodes in a cluster.
  • FIX message. Or Financial Information Exchange. A vendor-neutral communication protocol to exchange securities-transaction information with low latency.
  • Order. Instructions to buy or sell an asset
  • Strategy. An algorithm or collection of algorithms to execute trades programmatically
  • Strategy Engine. The architectural component responsible for executing user-provided strategies
